Table lamp made from a small mid 20th century traditional Japanese Gold Imari ginger jar. It’s decorated on a white ground with delicate fantasy details in navy blue, surrounded by elaborate gilding. The lid features tear drop shaped decorations in rust and has been finished with some more gilding.
